As families outgrow their surroundings there may come a time to make the decision to move into a larger home or simply add a home addition to their existing house. Here we show a New Addition and major build for a Pool House located in Baton Rouge. This 1000 square foot pool house was built to match the existing home is every way. From the brick work to the board and batten shutters, this new building is a carbon copy set up for family enjoyment.
The front porch was completed with a lean-to metal roof system. Cypress posts and beams were used to support the roof and accent the porch ceiling. Notice the LED lighting which wraps the porch face for safe entry during the evening hours. A subsurface drainage system was installed bellow the brick porch to capture water and remove it from the pool deck area. Pella doors were installed for the entry. The soffits were built custom to match the existing house.
The main build was constructed with brick masonry, asphalt shingles and fitted with half round gutters. Landscaping was added to complete the project and tie everything together.
In addition to be a well-known Home Builder, Zitro is also a leading Kitchen Remodeler, and this kitchen was built for entertaining. The center island has seating for 6 people and an elevated area for prep cooking. LED lighting was installed for the lighting in the ceilings, under the kitchen cabinets and the base cabinet areas for maximum illumination. Stainless cafe appliances were installed to finish the space.
This angle of the kitchen shows the Taj Mahal quartzite stone which was used for the countertops as well as the backsplash area. The owners custom wood shutters were used to accent the Pella window system.
The bathroom was finished with a quartzite countertop, an LED mirror and custom wallpaper with a beach house flair.
The sitting area was designed with a fireplace using fireballs and wrapped with Taj Mahal quartzite and wood trim. The flooring was completed with a 2×2 wood look porcelain tile.
The sitting area looks out to the front porch area. Off to the side is a breezeway connecting to the main residence.
Backing away with this broad angle captures the breezeway connection and a custom-made iron gate installed for entry to the side yard. The bricks were sourced locally to ensure the best possible match to the property. The chimney was constructed out of matching brick and covered with a metal roof cap.
